Brother Shoots, Kills Sister Inside Philadelphia Home, Police Say

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, shooting his sister twice in the chest and twice in the stomach, police said

A man is in custody after he allegedly shot and killed his sister inside a Philadelphia home.

Police say the suspect first began arguing with his sister, a woman in her 50's, at a car dealership earlier on Thursday. The siblings continued to argue inside a home on the 2600 block of North 33rd Street Thursday night, according to investigators.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, shooting his sister twice in the chest and twice in the stomach, police said. The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police later arrested the suspect. They have not yet revealed his identity.
