There was a large police presence near Independence Mall Wednesday evening. But don't worry. It was only a drill.
Local emergency responders joined the Philadelphia Police Department for a training drill that started at 5 p.m. and lasted 9 p.m. in the area of 6th and Market streets in downtown Philly.
Police asked the media to notify the public so that they weren't alarmed by the public exercise.
“This is indeed a drill,” said a news release from police.
SkyForce10 captured several police vehicles in the area as the exercise took place.
