Officers Rescue 15 Dogs, 2 Cats From Filthy Philadelphia Home

An investigation is underway after over a dozen animals were found living in filthy conditions inside a home in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia.

Pennsylvania SPCA officers responded to a home on the 7900 block of Marsden Street Saturday after they received a tip from police of several animals living in unsanitary conditions.

PSPCA officers found 15 small dogs and two cats inside the home. The animals were taken to the SPCA’s Erie Avenue headquarters where they will be examined and cared for by the shelter’s veterinary team.

No arrests have been made. Officials continue to investigate.
