Coast Guard to hold change of command ceremony
There is a new leader of the Coast Guard in Philadelphia.
Members of Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay gathered at Penn's Landing Friday for a change of command ceremony.
Capt. Benjamin Cooper relieved Capt. Kathy Moore, who has served as sector commander since May 2012. Cooper has served as the sector's deputy commander since July 2013.
Cooper will be responsible for search and rescue, security, navigation, maritime law enforcement, pollution response, commercial vessel safety and icebreaking in the region.
