A Philadelphia police officer opened fire at the scene of an argument Wednesday night.
Witnesses say the officer was trying to stop a fight outside lid's bar at 23rd and Tasker St. in South Philadelphia around 11:30 pm when one of the men in the fight looked like he was grabbing for a gun.
The officer fired his gun; the unidentified victim died at the hospital.
Neighbors say the officer was a constant presence on the street where the shooting happened.
Witnesses say the officer was very upset after he fired his gun.
A weapon was recovered from the scene, according to detectives.
