Hundreds of families have been built around domestic adoptions.
This weekend, the Wynnewood-based non profit that helps bring children and families together will host a picnic to celebrate adoption.
Adoptions From the Heart will host their annual picnic on Sunday. They have invited children who have been adopted, their adoptive families, and birth parents to come together at the event, which will be held at Ft. Washington State Park in Flourtown.
The organizers say the picnic is to help give children a sense of pride and familiarity with their family.
Entertainment will include musical performances from the Raucous Brothers Band and Music Fun with Tom.
Adoptions from the Hearts says festivities will begin at 11 a.m., and run until 2 p.m.
