A Pennsylvania man serving time for child molestation has been ordered to spend an extra 15 months in prison for mailing a threatening letter to President Barack Obama.
A federal judge sentenced Joseph Savage on Tuesday to 30 months in prison, but said half of it will overlap with his molestation sentence.
The 35-year-old North Union man is serving 12½ to 25 years for terroristic threats, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.
Savage pleaded guilty in March to counts of threatening the president and threatening his family.
Prosecutors say Savage sent a letter from Fayette County Prison in October 2012 threatening to "torture and murder" Obama and harm a member of his family.
The letter was mailed to 1400 Pennsylvania Ave., but the White House received it anyway.
