The Pennsylvania State Police Academy class set to graduate will have just 49 members due to a cheating scandal.
WGAL-TV reports the class scheduled to graduate Friday had 116 members when it began in September. The station says state police have confirmed that 36 of the 67 cadets who have left the class since then were kicked out or left voluntarily due to the cheating scandal.
State police Commissioner Tyree Blocker has requested an investigation by the Office of Inspector General in addition to the internal state police investigation.
Blocker has revealed few details since disclosing the cheating allegations on Feb. 4, and hasn't specified what kind of cheating was suspected.
Cadets are subject to a battery of written tests during the nearly seven months of training.
