Pennsylvania Man Clearing Trees With Brother Killed by Rolling Log

A 21-year-old man has been killed by a rolling log while working to clear trees in central Pennsylvania.

The Snyder County coroner says the victim is Dayton Kratzer, of Beavertown.

Kratzer was working with his brother when a log that had previously been cut rolled onto him as the men were trying to move it. The men had been hired as private contractors to clear the property.

A medical helicopter was called to the incident Wednesday morning in Mount Pleasant Mills, but Kratzer died in an ambulance before he could be flown to a hospital.

Mount Pleasant Mills is located about 40 miles north of Harrisburg.
