A Sheetz store in central Pennsylvania became the first convenience store in the state to sell wine.

That happened Tuesday morning at the store on East King Street in Shippensburg.

The store, and others soon to follow, are being allowed to sell wine under a law passed in June. The law broadens the number and type of private businesses that can sell beer, wine and liquor.

In July of 2015, NBC10 reported that Wawa in Chadds Ford, Delaware County won approval from locals to sell beerthe first Wawa in Pennsylvania to do so.
