Pennsylvania AG's Office to Issue Report on Explicit Emails Next Week

The Pennsylvania attorney general's office is about to release an outside law firm's report into the exchange of explicit and objectionable emails recovered from the agency's computers.

Spokesman Chuck Ardo said Thursday officials plan to disclose the findings in the middle of next week.

Former Attorney General Kathleen Kane commissioned the report last year. A team led by former Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler has combed through millions of the electronic messages.

Dozens of employees of the office have been disciplined for exchanging emails that came to light through a separate internal review of how prosecutors handled the child molestation investigation of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

Gansler has said the report would cost about $2 million. Ardo says the state's already paid about $386,000.
