Shark Tank to Hold Casting Calls in Philadelphia

It may be Shark Week, but in Philadelphia it won't culminate in a violent feeding frenzy — at least not literally.

ABC's hit reality show Shark Tank will hold a casting call at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Saturday at 11 a.m.

In this city's startup community, the program is most well known for funding former Drexel student Christopher Gray's app Scholly.

According the the application page, the casting team is accepting company pitches on a first-come, first-serve basis, but entrepreneurs who appear on television usually have " a strong consumer base, revenue and some level of existing investment."
