Only one Philadelphia restaurateur made a list of the 100 top-grossing independent restaurants in the United States as three of his establishments, although only one in Philly, cracked the rankings.
Two of Stephen Starr's New York eateries and one local restaurant put the well-known Philadelphia restaurateur on Restaurant Business magazine's newly released list of the 100 top-grossing independent restaurants in America in 2014.
Starr was the lone Philadelphia restaurateur last year as well, when three of his local spots made the list: Parc, Buddakan and Continental Mid-town.
