Local Store Offers Insurance for NFL Player Jerseys

If you are concerned about Eagles coach Chip Kelly trading the player whose jersey you just purchased, you might be in luck — at least if you bought said jersey at Schuylkill Valley Sports.

Crossing Broad reports that the sporting goods chain is offering something called “traded player insurance”— which allows the customer to buy a new NFL jersey of equal or lesser value for 50 percent off the current retail price if the player whose jersey you bought is traded or released.

That deal is valid for 18 months from the date of purchase, as long as the customer can produce a receipt.
