The King of Prussia Mall, along with its retail tenants and restaurants, are already gearing up to hire between 1,500 to 2,000 people to help with the upcoming holiday season.
Already about 6,000 people work from the King of Prussia Mall. That includes contractors hired by the mall’s owner, Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG), such as security and housekeeping to its own guest services employees. It also includes people working from all of the stores and restaurants occupying space in the shopping mecca. On top of the seasonal help that will be brought in, Primark is expected to hire more than 600 people when it opens a 100,000-square-foot store next month in the old Sears space.
