Phillies Minor-League Club Brings on the Bacon

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are embracing bacon like no baseball team has ever before.

The Philadelphia Phillies triple-A affiliate have created a new bacon-themed Saturday uniform ensemble that includes a bacon strip logo transfixed to the cap, a fresh “Pigs” jersey design emblazoned across the chest, and a first-of-its-kind bacon-style piping down both legs of the pants.

It's all part of its “smell the change” campaign. Seriously.

In addition to the cap and uniform offerings, the Allentown, Pa., team is also selling “scratch-and-sniff” T-shirts that smell like bacon -- for a limited time -- at its ballpark’s Majestic Clubhouse Store and on its website. Read more about this story on PBJ.com.
