Delivery From Reading Terminal Market in Under an Hour

Getting local food from the Reading Terminal Market is about to get easier since you no longer have to make a trip to Center City or wade through crowds of tourists to do your shopping.

That’s because Instacart, the same-day grocery delivery service, is partnering with the Reading Terminal Market to deliver the market's produce and groceries to people’s doors in under an hour.

“Customers have been asking for this Philadelphia iconic location," George Shotz, manager of the Instacart's Philadelphia offices, said in a statement, "and we are excited to be able to bring Reading Terminal Market merchant products to their doorstep.”

The delivery service is expected to launch later this fall.

"We like the model that they offered us. It's something that is easy for the merchants to participate in," said Paul Steinke, general manager of the market. "It makes the market available to our customers in a whole new way, and it adds a new dimension to our customer service." Read the full story on PBJ.com.
