Campbell’s Field, the independent league baseball stadium used by the Camden Riversharks, will be acquired by the Camden County Improvement Authority (CCIA), officials said Thursday.
NJ.com said in an agreement with Rutgers University and senior lender Santander Bank, the Camden County Improvement Authority will gain title and possession of the 6,700-seat ballpark in the next few months.
Officials said CCIA bonds will fund the $3.5 million purchase and future stadium revenues will go toward paying back those bonds, with no taxpayer money used.
