Camden Entertainment Center, Celebrates 20 Years, Gets Another New Name

Camden’s waterfront concert venue will be rebranded for the third time in its 20-year history, as the Susquehanna Bank Center will morph into BB&T Pavilion.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based BB&T Corp. confirmed the change, which will be officially announced Monday by the facility’s operator, Live Nation. A BB&T spokesman said sign changes are currently in progress and will be completed in the next few months.

BB&T acquired Susquehanna Bancshares in August for $2.5 billion. It was widely assumed that the concert venue would take on the BB&T moniker in some fashion but the bank did not confirm that until Thursday.

The venue holds 25,000 for outdoor concerts in warm weather. During the fall and winter months, it transforms into an enclosed 7,000-seat theater. Read the full EXCLUSIVE story here.
