PATCO Plans Yearslong Project to Update Elevators

The PATCO station at 12/13th and Locust Street in Philadelphia will get two new elevators. The first will provide for riders to move from the street to the concourse and the second from the concourse to the platform.

City Hall station in Camden, New Jersey will also be getting two new elevators. Like those at the 12/13th and Locust Street Station, the elevators will provide transportation from the street to the concourse and from the concourse to the platform.

PATCO runs between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden County, New Jersey. The Collingswood Station in New Jersey will get an elevator.

The Westmont Station will also get an elevator.

The Haddonfield Station will be a part of this project as well.

Ashland Station, located in Voorhees, New Jersey, will be getting one elevator. PATCO General Manager John Rink said, “I’m excited that when this project is completed, all PATCO stations will be fully accessible.”
