Participants of Canceled Mud Run Must be Proactive to Get Refunds

Would-be participants of a mud run near Philadelphia are having a bit of trouble getting their money back after the event was canceled.

The mud run, put on by LoziLu, was set for August 1. On July 31, the company's Facebook page posted that the race had been canceled and would not be rescheduled. Although the post said all racers would receive a refund, participants are still wondering where their money is.

LoziLu used Active.com, an event registration service, for its racers to pay the racer registration fee.

According to Royale Britton, a customer support representative from Active.com, participants must call the website's customer service line at 877-228-4881 and specifically request a refund.

According to LoziLu, the race was to take place at Varner Farms in Collegeville, about one hour outside of Center City. However, Obstacle Racing Media reported that the owners of Varner Farms said the race was never going to happen on their property and that they had "been trying to get [LoziLu] to stop advertising our location since January.”
