These are from my friend's Uncle Chester who lived in the Abington area. He was stuck in this traffic jam and got out of his car to take pictures. The traffic tie-up was on Rt. 309 heading south toward Philadelphia. If you look carefully in one of the pics you can see some monuments from Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on the hillside.

This photo is from about 1957. We had a home on the East side of Joshua Rd in Lafeyette Hills. The 7 or 8 homes from Flourtown Road south all had kids about the same age – there were no fences.

This is a picture taken by my father, Albert Zvarick, of recruits waiting for the train at Collegeville Train station. I am guessing he was on the same train off to basic training in 1941. Cheers, - John Zvarick, Collegeville

Auch Printing in Glenside circa 1940s. At the time they were based on Keswick Ave. but the company is still in business in Glenside, presently on Easton Rd.
