Officials Decide Whether Student Jumped or Fell from Pittsburgh School Window

Pittsburgh Public Schools officials have been trying to determine whether a 16-year-old student jumped or fell from a fourth-floor high school window.

District spokeswoman Ebony Pugh says the 16-year-old boy reported he fell from the window at Pittsburgh Allderdice High School on Thursday morning. But Pugh says other students reported seeing the boy climb out the window.

The boy suffered injuries to his legs and face, and was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital where Pittsburgh emergency officials say he was in serious condition, but with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials aren't releasing the boy's name, but say he was alert and conscious after he hit the ground.
