Philly Teacher Repeatedly Rapes Student: Cops

A teacher at a Philadelphia private school allegedly sexually assaulted one of his students over a three-year span that began when the girl was just 11 years old.

Steven Fulton, a teacher at North Philadelphia's Timothy Academy, allegedly repeatedly assaulted the girl, said Police Capt. John Darby.

Some of the alleged assaults reportedly took place at the school and escalated as time went on and included alleged incidents in Fulton's car, said authorities.

Police were contacted after the now-14-year-old girl told another adult at the school she'd been assaulted by Fulton who served as a gym teacher and coach at Timothy Academy.

Fulton, 26, was arraigned Wednesday on charges including rape and sexual assault and released on bail.

A phone listing for Fulton could not immediately be located and a phone message left with the school's executive director was not immediately returned.

Philly Police wanted to make sure that there are no other victims. Anyone with information should contact Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
