No injuries were reported when gunfire was exchanged at a central New Jersey apartment complex.
New Brunswick police say the shooting at the 33 Commercial Avenue complex occurred around 2:25 a.m. Saturday, when a car drove into the complex and someone in that vehicle fired shots into a crowd standing between two buildings.
Someone from the crowd returned fire at the car, which fled the area.
Four vehicles parked between the two buildings were damaged in the shooting.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
