Prosecutor: Teen Arrested, Charged in Bridgeton Shooting Death

Authorities say a 17-year-old has been arrested in the shooting of a 21-year-old man that left him dead in New Jersey last week.

Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae says the juvenile was taken into custody in Millville on Sunday and charged with homicide and related offenses.

Police say Davonte Lee was shot shortly after 6 p.m. Friday as he sat in a vehicle in Bridgeton. He was taken to his sister's home, where police and medical personnel responded. Lee was then transported to a Vineland hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The shooting remains under investigation.
