A southern New Jersey mayor is facing drunken driving charges.
The South Jersey Times reports that Paulsboro Mayor W. Jeffery Hamilton was arrested Dec. 20 following a traffic stop in neighboring Woolwich Township.
The stop came after officers responded to a 911 call reporting an erratic driver on Paulsboro Road.
Hamilton has served as the mayor of Paulsboro since 2012.
A telephone message left for him Friday was not immediately returned.
