NBC10 Philadelphia, in partnership with The NBCUniversal Foundation, is awarding $100,000 in grants to three local non-profit organizations.
In its third year, the 21st Century Solutions grant program recognizes and supports innovative, high-impact initiatives in the areas of Civic Engagement, Education, Environment, Jobs & Economic Empowerment, Media Arts and Technology.
The NBC10 Philadelphia grant recipients include the Food Bank of South Jersey, Inc., which will receive $50,000, and runners-up Enchantment Theatre Company and After School Activities Partnership, which will receive $25,000 each.
"We are thrilled to award these grants to three strong community organizations," said Eric Lerner, President and General Manager of NBC10 Philadelphia / WCAU and Telemundo62 / WWSI. "It’s inspiring to learn more about these projects and organizations that are working to solve serious challenges facing our communities."
