Lover Strangles NJ Mother in Her Apartment: Officials

Man allegedly strangles NJ mother during an argument

A gruesome discovery was made in a Bordentown Township, N.J. apartment Monday night.

Township police went to the Bradford Pointe Apartments off Route 130 to check on 31-year-old Misty Ramos after family members became worried that she had failed to pick up her kids as planned earlier in the day, according to Burlington County Prosecutors.

When police arrived at 122 Bradford Court they around 7:30 they found Ramos dead, authorities said.

Ramos was strangled to death, prosecutors said.

Noel Irizarry, 41, of Hamilton Township, N.J. was arrested Wednesday and charged with Ramos' murder.

The two were involved in a romantic relationship and had gotten in an argument, authorities said.

During that argument Irizarry allegedly strangled Ramos with his hands and left her body, officials said.

Irizarry was being held on $1-million bail. He was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
