A popular amusement ride at the Jersey Shore will be closed for "a couple of weeks" following a deadly accident at the Ohio State Fair, the park announced Thursday.
Morey's Piers and Water Parks said it was shutting down the ride named "It" due to the "horrible tragedy" in Ohio.

One person was killed Wednesday evening and several others were injured when a ride similar to "It" named "The Fire Ball" malfunctioned and sent riders flying.
There were no reports of any incidents at Morey's Piers in Wildwood, but a post on the park's facebook page announced the closure.
The post also said, "thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims."
