A Montgomery County distiller this year will be opening a tasting room at East Passyunk Avenue.
Pottstown, Pa.-based Manatawny Still Works, which was founded in 2012 and began making a variety of spirits in 2014, has signed a lease for 600 square feet of space at 1603 E. Passyunk Ave.
Vincent Stipo, real estate and hospitality consultant at MSC Retail, represented Manatawny Still Works.
"The attraction was the community of restaurants and bars," co-founder Derek Menaldino told the Philadelphia Business Journal. "In all the different places we looked, East Passyunk has a great concentration of BYOs, restaurants and a foodie community."
