Mom Charged With Murder of Son Extradited to New Jersey

A Florida woman charged with the 1991 death of her 5-year-old son has been extradited to New Jersey.

A spokesman for the Middlesex County prosecutor's office says Michelle Lodzinski is being held at the county adult corrections center in North Brunswick in lieu of $2 million bail.

Lodzinski is tentatively scheduled to make an initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon in New Brunswick. She is charged with killing Timothy Wiltsey.

She has been in custody since her arrest August 7. Lodzinski had said the boy disappeared at a carnival, but investigators said her story kept changing. His skeletal remains were found in a marshy area of Edison 11 months later.
