Drug Suspects Give Fake Names After Being Found to Have Meth in Suitcases: Police

Delaware State Police said they charged two people after a traffic stop revealed methamphetamine in their suitcases.

Police spokesman Gary Fournier said Friday, 28-year-old Christopher A. Biddinger and 21-year-old Victoria L. Barbati were walking along the shoulder of John J. Williams Highway near Indian Mission Road when an officer stopped the pair for questioning.

Both Biddinger and Barbati gave the officer false names. The officer searched suitcases that the two were carrying, and found .88 grams of meth as well as equipment used to manufacture the drug.

Both men were arrested and charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It was unclear if Biddinger and Barbati obtained attorneys.
