2 Men & Baby Steal Scooter Off Philly Street

Detectives are looking for two men -- one holding a baby -- wanted for swiping a man's scooter from in front of his Philadelphia home.

Isaack Barker has had his Honda CH-80 since January, and always secures the bike right outside his front door on Ridge Avenue near West Jefferson Street. But when he went to find it Thursday afternoon, it was nowhere to be found.

"I had come back to the door at about 1:00, 12:45 probably, and the bike was gone," Barker said.

Barker checked his security surveillance video and saw two men cutting the chain, with the baby-holding man serving as a lookout.

"Crime with a baby?! That's like absolutely ridiculous," said Barker. "He's standing in the street with the baby talking to the criminal. And just to hold the baby like that, and hop on a bicycle ..."

As the one man walked the scooter down Ridge Avenue, the man with the baby hopped on a bicycle and rode it precariously down the sidewalk, with the infant on his lap.

"Getting the baby involved, man ... it's a crime against a baby. It's ridiculous."

Police hadn't seen the video because a detective had not yet been assigned the case, but they're hoping the public can help catch these criminals.

"I don't want to wish bad upon nobody, but you done put bad on me," added Barker.

If you recognize either of the two men in the video — or the infant — call the Philadelphia Police tipline at 215.686.TIPS.
