A man died after he suffered a medical emergency and then crashed into a police car in southwest Philadelphia Monday afternoon.
The 64-year-old man was driving on the 6400 block of Woodland Avenue at 3:12 p.m. when he suffered a medical emergency and crashed into an unoccupied police vehicle, officials said.
The unidentified man was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:12 p.m. Officials have not yet revealed a cause of death but say the man died from the medical emergency and not from the car crash.
