Masked Robber Crawls Through NJ Burger King Drive-Thru Window

A masked robber crawled through the drive-thru window at a South Jersey Burger King early Monday morning, held up a manager and fled with more than $7,000 in cash, police said.

The bandit climbed through the window at the fast-food restaurant on Route 73 near Kings Highway in Maple Shade at 5:07 a.m. and brandished a handgun, Maple Shade Police said. The robber then forced the manager to open the safe in the office, police said.

The robber, who police said wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black gloves, white sneakers and an orange mask, obtained the cash and then took off out the Burger King's back door.

Anyone who may have spotted anything suspicious in the area of the Burger King around that time is asked to call Maple Shade Police at 856-234-8300 and reference case 2015-8803.
