A woman in her 70s died when flames tore through a South Philadelphia row home late Friday night.
Philadelphia firefighters battled the blaze along the 2800 block of S Marshall Street around 10:10 p.m. Friday.
They got the flames under control but it was too late for a woman in her 70s who medics pronounced dead inside the home.
Firefighters didn’t immediately identify the victim.
The cause of the blaze remained under investigation overnight.
