Delaware State Police nab family in marijuana raid

Growing marijuana was a family affair for a Delaware family, according to State Police.

After a months-long investigation, the Sussex County Drug Unit raided the Cini family home on the 20000 block of Waterview Road in Lewes, Del. Thursday morning, police said.

Police say they found 94 pot plants totaling more the 4,300 grams -- worth about $9,500 -- during a warranted search of the Cini home. Growing and manufacturing equipment as well as drug paraphernalia was also found in the home, police said.

Arrested on charges including manufacturing a controlled substance, mainting a drug property, conspiracy and related charges were 50-year-old Brian Cini and his wife, 49-year-old Kathleen Cini, police said.

They were both arraigned and released on $7,500 unsecured bond.

The Cinis 20-year-old daughter Kerstie Cini was also arrested on possession charges and released, police said.
