A man tried to run police down in Old City Wednesday night and they shot at the getaway car.
The man got away.
The man was trying to break into a car, according to police. They approached him. He jumped into a car (not sure if it's the same one) and drove straight toward the officers.
This happened at 2nd and Florists Streets under the Ben Franklin Bridge right after 10-o-clock.
Police fired at the car. They don't know if the man was hit.
