A man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Jersey Sunday night.
The 52-year-old man was walking on Route 45 (Mantua Pike) in Deptford Township shortly before 8 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck. Investigators say the truck did not stop and continued north toward Woodbury.
The victim, who police say lived in Mantua Township, was taken to Inspira Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victim’s name is being withheld pending the notification of his family.
The vehicle is described as an older model green or blue Dodge with an extended cab.
