A man who pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter charges stemming from a fatal shooting at a southern New Jersey apartment complex has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Joshua Texidor of Westampton must serve about 17 years before he becomes eligible for parole under the sentence imposed Friday. He also received a concurrent five-year term for aggravated assault.
Texidor and two other people pleaded guilty earlier this year to various charges in the death of 20-year-old Lamar Ortiz, who was killed last July at the Autumn Ridge Apartments in Gloucester Township.
Authorities have said the three wanted to rob Ortiz as part of a drug deal.
The two other defendants, 17-year-old Jevon Coleman Robinson of Edgewater Park and 18-year-old Isaac Mimes of Willingboro, also received lengthy prison terms.
