Man on Life Support, Another in Critical After Attempted Murder-Suicide: Police

A man is on life support and another is in critical condition after an attempted murder-suicide in Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania, according to investigators.

On Saturday at 11:47 p.m., police arrived at a home on the 100 block of Summit Avenue in the Paoli section of the township for a report of a shooting. When they arrived they found John Williams of Paoli suffering from a gunshot wound.

Williams told police that his family member, 70-year-old John Richard Berry, shot him during an argument. Police found Berry at another home on the same block, according to investigators. When they arrived, Berry allegedly fired a .38 caliber revolver several times before shooting himself in the head.

Both Williams and Berry were taken to the Paoli Memorial Hospital Trauma Center for emergency treatment.

Williams is currently in very critical condition after undergoing surgery. Berry is currently brain dead and was placed on life support, according to police.
