Body Found in Front of Dentist's Office Was Dragged: Police

A man found dead on a Northeast Philadelphia sidewalk Thursday night appears to have suffered head trauma and was dragged down the block, police told NBC10.

The man's body was discovered just before 7 p.m. outside Patelka Dental along the 8000 block of Frankford Avenue in the city's Holmesburg neighborhood. Police are working to identify the man whose believed to be in his 40s or 50s.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said surveillance video captured two men and a woman dragging the victim from behind an apartment building that also houses the dental office and a pharmacy. A rag was placed over one surveillance camera in the area but other cameras captured the incident, police said. [[401826215, C]]

It's not clear if the man was dead when he was dragged from the building. Two persons of interest were taken in for questioning around 10:30 p.m. but weren't immediately charged, Small said.

The death is being classified as suspicious, but homicide detectives investigated.
