Man Admits to Child Porn Charges

Federal prosecutors say a northern New Jersey man has admitted he made images and videos of child sexual abuse available online.

Andrew Johnson of Cranford now faces between 5 and 20 years in prison when he's sentenced April 22. He also will have to register as a sex offender and forfeit the computer equipment he used to commit the offense.

The 30-year-old Johnson pleaded guilty Monday to a complaint charging him with distributing child pornography.

He admitted using an online peer-to-peer file-sharing network in December 2012 that allowed other users to access child porn images and videos that were stored on his home computer. During this time, an undercover law enforcement agent used the network to download one image and 14 videos.
