The man accused of waging a three-state crime spree that ended when he crashed near the George Washington Bridge is due in federal court.
Luis Figeuroa is expected to make an initial appearance on Tuesday afternoon in Newark.
The resident of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and the Bronx, New York, was arrested in June following a day of mayhem.
Authorities say Figueroa abducted and sexually assaulted a woman in Pennsylvania, assaulted a national park employee in New Jersey and stole her vehicle, torched a car dealership in New Jersey before stealing an SUV, and then tried to flee after crashing in New York.
