Investigators didn’t reveal how they believe Walb died. A pending toxicology test could offer clues, investigators said.
As the investigation continues, Walb's loved ones are coping with her death.
"She could light a room up with her smile," said Walb's friend Autumn Trawitz. "You only try to think of the good memories of course. That's really what I'm blessed with."
Trawitz said she learned about her friend's death on social media.
"When you see something like that, it's like, no way, that's not true," she said. "That's not true."
Trawitz first met Walb during her freshman year at Exeter High School, where both women graduated in 2012.
"She rushed in the room. She was so late and she stepped on my hand," Trawitz said while laughing. "I just looked at her like, 'Excuse you, are you crazy? Say I'm sorry or whatever.' Ever since then, she was my best friend."
Trawitz is now hoping police can find her friend's killer.
"I was just mind blown," Trawitz said. "I just really hope that whoever did it is caught."
