A woman was shot and killed inside a home in Lower Moreland Township, Pennsylvania.
The shooting occurred inside a home on Dale Road near Packard Avenue in Huntingdon Valley Monday evening. The woman was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
A suspect in the shooting is in custody. Officials have not yet revealed the suspect's identity but said the incident was domestic in nature.
"It's awful," Ana Jenkins, the victim's friend and neighbor, told NBC10. "She just had a birthday a couple days ago."
Jenkins said her children first texted her that someone had been shot.
"They said there was a shooting," Jenkins said. "I said there couldn't be a shooting in our neighborhood. It's very quiet."
Neighbors told NBC10 the victim had a son who lived with her.
