A gunman apparently shot a sleeping man in the mouth in a Delaware County, Pennsylvania home Wednesday.
Officers responded to the residence on Summit Street in Linwood just after 5 a.m.
The victim told police investigators walked in and shot him in the face while he slept, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said
The bullet entered and exited the victim's face and he was able to walk to a waiting ambulance, Whelan said. [[238427591, C]]
Bloody footprints could be seen on the front steps.
No word yet on a description of the shooter. Police spent the morning investigating circumstances around the shooting.
"Everything is under review at this point and time," Whelan said.
