Philly Man Charged in Kutztown University Stabbing

A Philadelphia man has been charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of an eastern Pennsylvania university student that authorities allege began with an argument over a man urinating in a back alley.

Eighteen-year-old Robert Centifanti III, who is not a student, is also charged in Berks County with aggravated and simple assault and a weapons offense in the Feb. 20 stabbing a few blocks away from Kutztown University.

The Reading Eagle reports that authorities said Centifanti was leaving a party with two other men when one of his companions decided to urinate in the alley. Authorities allege that when the 23-year-old victim warned the man that he might get a ticket, Centifanti confronted him and punched and stabbed him.

Centifanti's attorney didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Saturday.
