A western Pennsylvania judge has dismissed a homicide charge against a woman accused by prosecutors of having been involved in a deadly Pittsburgh shootout.
An Allegheny County district judge ruled Friday that there wasn't enough evidence to sustain the charge against 29-year-old Briquel Good.
She was ordered to stand trial on attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other counts in the Jan. 3 shooting that killed her friend, 22-year-old Joseph Adu-Marfo.
Prosecutors alleged that Good argued with another woman and agreed to fight nearby, but as the other woman arrived in a sport-utility vehicle, Good and Adu-Marfo fired from opposite sides of the vehicle, and he was hit.
Defense attorney Wendy Williams said people in the SUV also fired, and prosecutors failed to prove that bullets from Good's gun killed Adu-Marfo.
